Botox in Atlanta, GA
Botox® is a popular, temporary treatment for forehead creases, crow’s feet, and wrinkles around the mouth. Botox is injected by a fine needle into the problem area, where it blocks nerve impulses to the targeted muscles. Botox effectively eliminates the activity that causes moderate to severe lines to form on your skin. We also offer all other name brands of neuromodulators, including Jeuveau, Dyport.
Botox Cosmetic injections are performed without anesthesia because they are virtually painless. Only a very small sting is felt when the injections are made. The effects are not permanent and may need to be repeated two to three times per year to retain the effects. Research has suggested, however, that long-term use of the injections leads to a longer duration of each treatment’s effect. Botox Cosmetic is only useful in treating expression lines and cannot be used to repair sagging skin caused by aging.

Similarities: Botox and Dysport are both neuromodulators (meaning muscle relaxant) containing the same active ingredient, Botulinum Type A. Both are FDA approved so safe and effective when used for temporary treatments for moderate – severe wrinkles in different areas. Both will see full results in 14 days.
Differences: Botox contains larger molecules while Dysport contains smaller molecules. Because of the smaller particles in Dysport, you can expect the results to appear more quickly, 2-3 days while Botox can take 5-7 days. Dosage is also different between these two neuromodulators. It takes 3 units of Dysport to equal 1 unit of Botox (same price though). (For ex: 12 units of Botox = 24 units of Dysport).
Frontalis, glabellar, crows feet, masseters (jaw) & mentalis muscle.
It is recommended to come every 3-4 months.
It really depends on the look you’re trying to achieve. You can have a very subtle, natural look with little movement or you can also have a completely frozen look. Your injector will achieve the look you.
