Getting Started

What is a MedSpa?

“Medspas” or Medical spas blend the best of two worlds – a luxurious spa experience with the expertise and experience medical professionals have to offer.

Our MedSpa delivers medical-grade non-surgical aesthetic procedures in a soothing environment. A Doctor oversees the medical spa and is in charge of procedures that fall into the medical realm.

What is the difference between a day spa and a MedSpa?

The Medical aesthetic treatments we offer go far beyond the standard beauty treatments found at most day spas. While offered in a relaxing setting, the treatments are more intense, and offer much more noticeable results. Aesthetic medicine includes all procedures in the field of aesthetics, save for surgical procedures requiring an operating table and general anesthesia.

What kind of payment options do you offer?

We accept Cash, Visa, American Express, Mastercard, or CareCredit and United Medical.

Botox Questions

What is Botox® cosmetic?

BOTOX® Cosmetic is the #1 selling treatment of its kind:

  • It’s the first and only treatment FDA-approved to temporarily make moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines look better in adults
  • A quick 10-minute treatment with minimal downtime
  • You may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours for moderate to severe frown lines
  • It delivers predictable, subtle results, so you look like you, only with less noticeable facial lines

How does Botox® cosmetic work?

BOTOX® Cosmetic targets one of the underlying causes of frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines — the repeated muscle contractions from frowning, squinting, smiling and raising the eyebrows over the years.

Your specialist will inject these muscles with BOTOX® Cosmetic to temporarily reduce muscle activity. You will begin to notice a visible smoothing of the frown lines between your brows, your crow’s feet lines and your forehead lines.

Will I see results quickly? How long do treatment effects work?

You may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours, with results lasting up to four months for moderate to severe frown lines. Remember that results vary from patient to patient though, so your physician will plan your next appointment based on your results and aesthetic goals.

Start talking about your goals with a specialist today and find out what you could expect.

How long is the recovery time after treatment?

Treatment requires minimal downtime. So you can return to your daily routine immediately after you leave your specialist’s office.

Treatment with BOTOX® Cosmetic is customized to your goals and needs. When you meet with your specialist, he or she will determine the appropriate treatment for any areas you wish to address, including moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines. Remember, only BOTOX® Cosmetic is approved to treat all three of these areas.

For the crow’s feet area, your specialist will inject 3 areas of the muscle that frames the side of the eye. This will be repeated on the muscle that frames the other eye.

For the frown lines area, your specialist will administer 5 injections into the muscles between your brows and in your forehead.

For the forehead lines area, your specialist will administer 5 injections into a muscle in your forehead.

Can CoolSculpting® reduce fat on every part of my body?

CoolSculpting® is FDA-cleared for the treatment of visible fat bulges in the submental (under the chin) and submandibular (under the jawline) areas, thigh, abdomen and flank, along with bra fat, back fat, underneath the buttocks (also known as banana roll) and upper arm. It is also FDA-cleared to affect the appearance of lax tissue with submental area treatments.

What happens during my CoolSculpting® treatment?

The applicator will be placed on the treatment area and there will be a slight sucking sensation as it adheres to your body, followed by that signature cooling effect. During the procedure you may experience sensations of pulling, tugging, mild pinching, intense cold, tingling, stinging, aching, and cramping at the treatment site.

These sensations subside as the area becomes numb. Following the procedure, typical side effects include temporary redness, swelling, blanching, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging, tenderness, cramping, aching, itching, or skin sensitivity, and sensation of fullness in the back of the throat after submental or submandibular area treatment.

After the applicator is detached, we will do a brief massage on the area to break up the treated fat cells and enhance the fat reduction. That’s it!

How long does a treatment take?

Each CoolSculpting® treatment is different, so it depends on which areas of the body and how many of them you plan on doing. Depending on the area, treatment can be done in as little as 35 minutes. The CoolSmooth applicator is discontinued, however some practices may still use it.

If you opt to do multiple treatments in a session, expect to spend more time. Some providers have multiple CoolSculpting® machines, allowing patients to do multiple treatment areas at once, reducing the amount of time spent in office.

When will I see results?

You’ll start to see changes as soon as 1-3 months post-treatment. Final results may take 6 months or more.

Are there any side effects after treatment?

Following the procedure, typical side effects include temporary redness, swelling, blanching, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging, tenderness, cramping, aching, itching, or skin sensitivity, and sensation of fullness in the back of the throat after submental or submandibular area treatment. Rare side effects may also occur.

Paradoxical hyperplasia (visibly enlarged tissue volume in the treated area) may develop two to five months after treatment and requires surgical intervention for correction. As with any medical procedure, ask your physician if CoolSculpting® is right for you.
